Paul Julius

Paul Tochukwu Julius also known as “Triips” is an Afro Pop and Highlife singer. He is an Indigene of Imo state but was born on the 27th of February in Kaduna. His music is an outstanding blend of the old and new. His style is an apparent seamless incorporation of western and Nigeria cultures, bridging gaps with array reach of fans worldwide.

Just as many musical stars, Tochukwu Paul Julius had a humble background, but in his teenage, while in high school he discovered a burning passion for music. He began writing and composing songs at an early age of just fourteen, although, these composed songs were not recorded as at the time; it earned him respect and admiration from his peers, neighborhood and school.

He started recording music in the year 2012 and developed rapidly as time went by. After the release of his first track as a single “She’s Mine” he went on to record other songs and with much passion and commitment to his craft, he gained attention in the state and this attracted him a lot of shows and performances including a performance with Star Company “Shine-Shine Bobo” in Kaduna . It also earned him an endorsement as brand ambassador at Mutunchi Pride Nationwide.

After the successful recording of his first album titled “Mr. Lyrical” in 2014, in the year 2015 he launched out to Lagos city which is known as the land of entertainment to further his career. In his relentless effort towards achieving success, he met with the “Gripz Boys” the likes of Yung L Mr. Marley, Endia, and Chopstix (the famous Nigerian producer). In affinity with them and other professionals in the industry, he discovered and learned more about the musical entertainment industry. In effect, his sound embellished and his development, obvious. According to professionals who have interviewed him, “His lyrics are meaningful, relatable and understandable with ordinate production.” And that has been the testimony of many who have heard his music; and the Global Vaccine EP which is released on the 12th of JUNE, 2020 is great evidence to this.
