Unknown Reality

My name is Unknown Reality and I’ve been passionate about music ever since I was young. I grew up listening to all kinds of music from blues and rock to hip hop. The first time I actually got inspired to make music was years ago when I tried a demo of Fruity Loops that is called FL Studio now. I didn’t know what in the world I was doing but it was so much fun trying things out listening to the results. The first beat I came up with wasn’t too hot but it also struck a nerve inside of me. You can use a computer to make music so I kept at it until I started learning how to use the program. I was already writing rap lyrics by this time so I started writing songs to the beats I created. A few years later I read about other programs such as Pro Tools and Cubase that you can use to record, mix and master your songs. I went to my local Guitar center and purchased a Pro Tools bundle they had which came with everything you need for a home studio including Pro Tools software. I spent the next few years learning as I go recording my own music. The feedback I got from friends and people I shared my songs with online told me I needed to get better production wise.
I could’ve just paid an engineer to do it for me but decided to go to school so I could learn how to turn my passion into a career. There isn’t a college near me that offered any recording arts degree programs so I looked on the Internet and found out that Full Sail has a music production program online. Since I have a family and a full time job this is perfect for me. I’ve known about Full Sail ever since I young because the ads in classified section of The Source magazine. When I graduate my career goals are to use everything I’ve learned to start my own production company and open up a professional quality studio so that I can work with artists and bands of any genre. I plan on producing my own instrumental albums as well.
