I was obtained Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry of Crete University in 2010. My Ph.D. theses was on “Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Nanoporous materials for Adsorption and Catalytic applications”.

I am Post - Doctoral Researcher at TCM lab (Transparent Conductive Materials Group) at IESL/FORTH, Crete, working on powders and thin film fabrication as well as on the chemical synthesis of transition metal oxides and characterization techniques for material and devices with emphasis on Gas Sensing and Photocatalytic Applications. Vassilis Binas has awarded in 3 Competitions of Innovation and Applied Research and participated in over 30 National and International Conferences (including 6 as invited speaker).
