Arthur Argote

Having worked in the film and video post production world for close to 20 years, I have accumulated experiences in various aspects of post production.

My career started in video post production in New York as a Telecine assistant working under some of the top colorist in town using the Rank/Poggle System. I later transition to the Quantel Harry/Paintbox, and then Flame/Inferno Compositing systems, where I worked on supervised compositing sessions. Around this time I had incorporated some 3D into my work using Newtek’s Lightwave animation system, then at version 1.0.

Pursuing feature work, I moved to Los Angeles in 1997 to work at Disney’s Feature Animation. Working on such projects as Dinosaur and stereoscopic ride films, I observed Disney’s decades of experience in handling large format, complex projects. Such experiences proved invaluable in working in today’s high volume and complex VFX films. I later transition to Lighting while at Disney on such features as “Chicken Little” and “Meet the Robinsons” My most recent work at Sony Imageworks and at Digital Domain have furthered my stereoscopic experience in lighting and additional compositing respectively.
