Vance Elder
An alumnus of the University of Calgary in Canada, Vance Elder earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He received certification as a Personal Financial Planner from the Canadian regulatory agency IIROC (Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada). At present, Mr. Elder applies his expertise in financial advice at BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. in Calgary. As a Senior Investment Advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns, Vance Elder works with a highly skilled wealth management team dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of investment advice and services to clients. With a focus on investment, retirement, and estate planning, Mr. Elder’s group, The Elder Team, is confident in its ability to tailor its approach to satisfy clients with varied budgets and financial goals. The team’s efficient work has earned it a consistent number-one ranking for investment research. The members aim to provide effective financial advice for those who chose to invest with BMO Nesbitt Burns. In recognition of his strong business management skills and service to clients, Mr. Elder has been awarded membership in the firm’s elite Chairman’s Council. Outside of his professional pursuits, Vance Elder supports a number of philanthropic organizations, including Wood’s Homes, Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), the Canadian Cancer Society, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. He has served as a member of the Planned Giving Committee for Wood’s Homes, which aims to assist troubled children and families in Calgary. A supporter of the BMO Entrepreneurial Adventure Program, Mr. Elder aims to instill middle-school students with the knowledge, goals, and values to successfully create and manage a business. Vance Elder currently resides in Calgary, where he spends his free time pursuing hobbies such as golfing, curling, hiking, and rollerblading. He also enjoys playing hockey and tennis.
