Victor Frankenstein

1. Born and raised in Geneva. Moved to Inglostadt at age seventeen where I studied science at the university.

2. People would describe me as somewhat of an outsider because I tend to isolate myself in my work, but they would consider me intelligent, devoted, and kind.

3. Although I will not often admit it, I am greatly at fault for destroying the life of my brother, sister, best friend, wife, and ultimately myself.

4. I discovered the secret of life, and did something no other man could even dream. I created life from dead tissue. Although I am proud of this accomplishment, I have greatly regretted it from the moment I saw the creature I created open its eyes.

5. I began my life as an innocent man fascinated with science. I ended my life as a sad, guilt-ridden man who has no one else to blame but himself.

"I had worked hard for nearly two years, for the sole purpose of infusing life into an inanimate body. For this I had deprived myself of rest and health. I had desired if with an ardour that far exceeded moderation; but now that I had finished, the beauty of the dream vanished, and the breathless horror and disgust filled my heart. Unable to endure the aspect of the being I created, I rushed out of the room and continued a long time traversing my bedchamber, unable to compose my mind to sleep." pg 42
