Some are in disbelief when I tell them I'm a sixteen year old junior in high school, either believing me to be younger or older. I've been mistaken for many things, but my favorite was being mistaken as a Hispanic this summer. I am seeking to major in International Relations and minor in Spanish once I embark for college. My ambitions are set high, but never for the gain of myself but rather for the glorious riches of Christ Jesus. I am seeking to move overseas, preferably to an indigenous island, after college but that can change depending on the plans of God.

Currently, I am involved with Flood Student Ministries as a project leader for a homeless outreach project on select days of the month, and I can truly say that that is my passion. I am looking for international experience prior to my high school graduation. I originally was set to go to Matamoros, Mexico for five weeks last summer (2011) in partnership with an organization named Adventures in Missions. However, the drug situation there was too risky and I was directed to the other side of the border, in Rio Grande Valley, Texas. I felt, despite the location change, that I still had a plummet of international experience. I am looking for another opportunity for this coming summer.

One of my favorite hobbies is, hands down, piano. What I am lacking in sheet music literarcy I make up in my love for piano improvisation.

My favorite quote is, hands on, one by Jim Elliot. It reads, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.". And with that I walk into this life living for a greater prize.
