A spiritual master today, Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda’s path to enlightenment was paved by his guru, Mahavatar Babaji, when he was only a child. Surprisingly, the two met at a hospital, where Paramahamsa Vishwananda had been admitted after eating poisonous seeds. This first encounter inspired within Vishwananda the spirituality that soon enabled him to become clearly recognized as a spiritual master, first in his Mauritian hometown and then on an international scale. He now travels all over the world to share his insights on life, love, and God.

His achievements are many: in addition to being a disciple of the renowned Mahavatar Babaji, he has been initiated into the Sri Sampradaya by Sri Rangaraj Bhattar Acharya, and during the Kumbh Mela pilgrimage of 2015, Paramahamsa Vishwananda became the Mahamandaleshwar of the Haridas Nirmohi Akhara. This ascension to Mahamandaleshwar status indicates that he has achieved exceptional recognition as a Hindu spiritual guardian under the Dashanami order.
