I am a retired 20 year US Navy veteran. After my naval career, I began a second career in the IT industry. I have since retired from that career and now enjoy time with my wife, children, grandchildren and friends. Mid 2018 we learned my wife Kathy, of 40 years, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, so most of my days are spent at home with her. Alzheimer's is a cruel and terrible disease. It not only disrupts the life of the person suffering with it, but also those of the person's family, friends and neighbors.

I am currently teaching myself basic electronics and learning how to write code for the Arduino Micro-Processor. And I am also learning how to design 3D objects for printing on my 3D Printer and if there's anytime left over, I will occasionally meet up with my buddies to play golf. I have also taught myself how to make paracord bracelets, lanyards, collars, leases, etc. so if you want to take a look at my work, please click the "View my photos" button.

Finally, I volunteer at the Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School to assist their Robotics Club in designing and testing underwater Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for regional and international competitions. Last Spring we placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the NE Florida regionals. Our 1st place team went on to the international competition and placed 3rd place overall. They also placed 1st in the obstacle competition setting a new world record for time to complete the obstacle course.
