I love to pursue knowledge, no matter what it takes. I want to find knowledge because it always leads to a distinguished reputation. The science that I search for is always one step away. In my pursuit of knowledge I have not me, "I have no friend : when I am glowing with the enthusiasm of success, there will be none to participate my joy; if I am assailed by disappointment, no one will endeavour to sustain me in dejection." My education has come late in my years and the only thing that really taught me in the early years was my uncle's lovely library. So now I am headed away from England and my sister Margret, to explore the North Pole. The ship is by no means in bad shape, only a few scratches, and I am sure it will hold up in the icy Arctic ocean. I will move forward.
