I am a retired journalist currently living as a resident of Costa Rica.

I started my career in 1964 at a little 66-watt FM radio station in Dallas, Texas. From there, I worked in radio in East Texas, Dallas, Minneapolis, and Denver.

In 1979 I became the first broadcast journalist in Texas to be jailed for refusing to reveal a news source during an investigation of corruption in county government. After I was released, a number of Gregg County officials were indicted and convicted in federal court of racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder and other offenses.

I spent my career in radio and television before retiring in 2015 after 32 years at KMGH TV in Denver.

I have been married for 36+ years and we have an accomplished daughter who is an OB/GYN Medical Doctor with all female practic in the U.S.

My interests range from cooking to hiking. I am also interested in travel, science, and writing.
