William Bryan Farney

With three decades of experience in the legal profession, William Bryan Farney is a former partner at Arnold, White & Durkee, a legal firm that he initially joined as an associate before being promoted to partner after five years. Presently, William Bryan Farney serves as the lead attorney at Farney PC, an Austin-based firm where he specializes in patent litigation, among other areas.
Mr. Farney began his legal career as a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 1985. In that role, he served under Federal Circuit Judge Marion T. Bennett for a year before then serving a year as clerk for Federal Circuit Chief Judge Glenn L. Archer, Jr. During this time, Farney was responsible for reviewing pending appeals, as well as drafting court opinions, and performing legal research.
Farney has represented clients in numerous high-profile cases during his career, such as HEC Pharm in the ‘Novartis AG, et al. v. HEC Pharm Co., Ltd., et al.’ case, which involved an alleged patent infringement concerning an Abbreviated New Drug Application with the Food and Drug Administration.
