In 1996, I traveled to North Africa on a Spanish Ferry with Moroccan passengers, an on board American TV series showing stereotypically negative images of Arabs. That experience greatly contrasted with my subsequent exposure to Arab hospitality, generosity, and beauty, crystallizing an understanding of globalization.
That experience resulted in a vision to build a more accurate, nuanced global image of the Arab world. I believe that marketing Arab products, services, personalities, places, and companies is the best way to build Arab world brand equity.
In 2010, I completed a Masters in Global Marketing & Communications at the American Univesity of Beirut, while providing communications consulting, serving as country leader for Toastmasters International, and completing 4500 hours in Modern Standard Arabic, Business Arabic, and Lebanese dialect.
After over a decade of marketing and management experience in four countries, I am currently exploring marketing & communications opportunities in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.
