William Ekeroth
With a wealth of experience in celebrity event production and professional athlete representation, William Ekeroth is President of Dallas-headquartered Axxis Sports & Entertainment. Mr. Ekeroth's company works closely with NFL players, offering them experienced marketing, merchandising and licensing endeavors as well as public relations strategies.
William Ekeroth and the Axxis Sports & Entertainment team produce a number of national celebrity events each year, including Leather and Laces, a Super Bowl tradition since 2003. The two-night, February 2012 event in Indianapolis will feature top celebrities such as The Girls Next Door's Kendra Wilkinson, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt as well as Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra and JWOW. The event also features Cirque performers and amazing illusionist Jim Karol. Over the past four years, Mr. Ekeroth?s company has also produced the Saturday Night Spectacular Ultra Premier Event hosted by icons John Travolta, Kevin Costner, and Jim Carrey and last year created a one-off Cowboy Gathering event, celebrating Dallas' hosting of Super Bowl XLV.
Mr. Ekeroth got his industry start training under a legendary concert producer who was one of four men that created and produced the iconic Woodstock festival. Moving to Dallas in 1989, he produced rock concerts and some theatrical plays for nearly a decade, working with other legends in the business such as Quintin Perry, Tyler Perry, Barry Fey, and Michael Cohl of CPI. He produced large-scale events featuring major acts in the industry, including the Rolling Stones, Prince, INXS, REO, Foreigner, New Kids on The Block, Will Smith, Chicago, and Michael Jackson. William Ekeroth also developed the Pepsi-sponsored Starfest Amphitheatre as a competitor to the Coca-Cola Starplex (now the Gexa Energy Pavilion) in Dallas.
In 1995, he successfully moved into athlete marketing with a Donald Trump-led gala weekend at the Trump Taj Mahal Atlantic City that featured star Players from the San Francisco 49'ers and Dallas Cowboys. For the past decade, William Ekeroth and his company have also produced a number of high-profile Texas events, including the John Daly Celebrity shootout and a city of Allen, Texas, Fourth of July celebration, which draws an annual attendance of 60,000-plus.
