Born and raised in Port Huron MI, Bill is an ‘06 graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences/Chemistry. After school, he spent the next six years living in Kalamazoo, MI working for a global preclinical contract research organization. During those years, he was an active board member with the Kalamazoo LGBT+ Resource Center and proudly served as the President of the Kalamazoo LGBT+ Professionals Network. He also served as co-chair of the Kalamazoo Pride Festival, Michigan’s second largest queer event. Bill also helped establish and grow online platforms as Communications Chair for the (legacy) Kalamazoo Alliance for Equality (KAFE,) a statewide Political Action Committee.
Bill relocated to San Diego in 2012 and is a Director of Business Development (West Coast) at Certara. In his current role, Bill works hands-on with pharma and biotech companies to enhance decision making, streamline processes, and make their drug a safer bet.
Bill is a certified LATG Toxicology Researcher with a significant background working with nonhuman primates. He is currently serving as the Development Chair on the board of Mama's Kitchen. He is an avid runner, enjoys Napa red wines, loves cold brew coffee, and his maltipoo, Ribo. Most of all, he enjoys travelling abroad with his family as much as possible.
