William Joe Scaggs

An accomplished business executive, William Scaggs has cultivated a successful career along the East Coast. Beginning in Montgomery County, Maryland, and winding up as far south as the Bahamas, Scaggs’ hands-on approach to management and business ownership has kept him at the forefront of his companies’ successes. At Scaggs Group, a restaurant company where he served as President and CEO, Scaggs’ management expertise resulted in an award from Fox Sports that commended his efforts to bring pay-per-view sports to U.S. shores. The company also recognized him for opening a nightclub for individuals under 21, serving as the first of its kind in the town of Olney.

Refining his expertise with a move to Boca Raton, Florida, William Scaggs transitioned into the world of real estate with the purchase of 500 acres of land in the Bahamas. With that purchase, Scaggs initiated a series of business moves that would lead to the development of a hotel and casino, as well as the construction of a signature golf course. He also successfully closed and sold over $400 million in real estate in the Bahamas. A member of the National Association of REALTORS, William Scaggs’ success was noteworthy because he became the leading Realtor in the Bahamas for five years, earning recognition from the country’s Prime Minister.

At present, William Scaggs is a Partner and investor at SRD Building Corporation in Boca Raton. The luxury homebuilder’s owners utilize his skills to maintain their financial systems and to ensure that their buildings meet the desired specifications.
