William Glenn

I was born in the wilds of middle Illinois to parents of inscrutable temprament - the one artsy and impractical, the other bookish and worried - who picked up stakes soon thereafter and headed south to lands where I grew up drenched in sunshine and afternoon showers. My head always in the clouds, surrounded by figments of my imagination, I wandered through mist enshrouded forests and temples; endless twisting corridors and labyrinths, peopled by obscure populations of my own creation.

Undergraduate study followed armed service before I turned east to England, where further years were spent making performance, travelling, and writing. During my productive years I have worked with such organisations as the Royal Shakespeare Company, Battersea Arts Centre, Splash and Ripple, and Punchdrunk. Though my body of work is largely composed of live performance-based work, I have worked across television, film, theatre and music.
