Yates Walker

An accomplished political campaign manager and media producer, Yates Walker maintains strong conservative values, including a stalwart belief limited government and individual freedoms. Over the last 12-plus months, he has worked primarily as a news talk radio producer and contributing writer for mainstream publications such as BigPeace.com and Hemispheres Inflight Magazine. Prior to that, Yates Walker led campaigns for Tea Party and Republican candidates, including Christine O’Donnell and Rick Barber.

Currently, Yates Walker serves as a Producer for KMJ, a talk and news radio station based in Fresno, California. His responsibilities in the position include providing news and editorial content for The Chris Daniel Show, KMJ Morning News, The Inga Barks Show, and The Ray Appleton Show. Possessing strong journalistic instincts and effective research tactics, Walker earned The Chris Daniel Show national acclaim for his work covering a federal investigation into the Gibson Guitar factory. Prior to joining KMJ in March 2011, Walker produced the Happy Hour with Greg Budell program on WMRK-FM, serving the Montgomery, Alabama-based market. In addition to booking A-list guests and subject experts for the host, Greg Budell, to interview, Yates Walker handled news story research, worked as a substitute on-air personality, and prepped Budell each day before his program.

Maintaining an extensive background in politics, Yates Walker migrated into radio production from a career in political campaign directorship. While working for the conservative group Americans for Limited Government in 2009, Walker was tapped to lead a regional campaign in New York State for U.S. House of Representatives candidate Doug Hoffman.

Yates Walker’s skill in managing in several regional offices and in increasing Hoffman’s campaign presence across upper New York garnered the attention of the Rick Barber for Congress campaign in December 2009. Walker was appointed Campaign Manager for the relatively unknown Tea Party activist, and he incurred a major following for Barber in the candidate’s home state of Alabama. In 2010, Walker was again selected to join a national campaign, this time for Christine O’Donnell for Senate.
