My name is Yihan and my English name is Viola. I like playing badminton very much now. You may not think that in fact, when I first came into contact with playing badminton, every cell in my body would make a sound of opposition and resistance. So let me tell about my story.

When I was in the middle school, my parents always play badminton in the weekends in order to let their bodies become more and more health. Also, they'll take me with them. At first, I can not serve the ball orreceive the ball.Being a slightly fat girl, I refused to run from the back of the left to the front of the right to catch the ball. In the beginning, I didn’t understand the importance of the sports to enhance our healthuntil I got a serious influenza, suffering from the annoying runny noses and coughs, feeling dizzy and not myself. I always caught a cold as soon as the season changed, but my parents’ strong immunity originated from long-term exercises helped them defense against the disease. Thereafter, I discovered the importance of exercise.

After entering junior high school, I became not so reluctant to play badminton. Every weekend, I would play badminton with my parents. It was when we won the mixed doubles against two adults in our community that I started to like badminton. After winning several badminton matches, I refreshed my perspective on badminton.

Besides enjoying the sense of fulfillment and achievement gained from winning the matches, I started to ponder over why I could succeed won the competition. It must be my persistent efforts and my parents’ constant encouragement. When I play badminton, I can experience the satisfaction of scoring, the carefree swing of the racket, and enjoy the fun on the court.

Since then, I became more and more skilled in playing badminton. I grasped the basic skills like serving, volleying, smashing, and drop shot. Now, I can team up with different people, and I can even play doubles with my brother against other adults. When my high school held a sports meeting, I actively participated in the badminton competition. With tacit cooperation with teammates, I finally steered the team to victory, with all other participants casting envious eyes to us and teachers heaping praises on us.
