Yisrael (Israel) Spero

Prior to founding Spero Law, Yisrael was a partner in Gornitzky & Co., one of Israel’s largest and leading commercial law firms, where he focused on M&A transactions, private equity investments, and complex commercial transactions—domestic and international.

As part of his commercial and corporate practice, Yisrael has walked clients, from early stage ‘start-ups’ to representatives of some of the world’s largest multinational large corporations, through the complexities of their ongoing commercial and corporate issues, acting on their behalf on a wide range of commercial and corporate transactions.

Yisrael often represents his clients in their investment activities, and has been involved in numerous investment and acquisition transactions of every type. Additionally, Yisrael has been involved in establishing investment funds and in representing international and Israeli investors in their investments in investment funds of all types, including venture capital funds, private equity funds, real estate funds and hedge funds.

Over the years, Yisrael gained substantial expertise both as an advisor and negotiator, resulting in a wide range of experience that Yisrael utilizes to create value for his clients and help them achieve their business goals.

As a US born-Israeli resident attorney, Yisrael is fluent in both English and Hebrew, and assists clients in bridging culture gaps and avoiding unhelpful and potentially costly misunderstandings that often arise in cross border-multinational transactions.

Yisrael received his LL.B. from Bar-Ilan University and was admitted to the Israeli Bar Association during 2007.
