Hello, Graduate Students! I am a 2nd year PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. I am running for GSS VP services to contribute to making GSS become a core platform that involves and servers as many students as possible.

As a current Event Assistant in GSS, I have obtained valuable experience from assisting with several significant events (Orientation, Graduation, Chinese New Year Gala, Iranian Yalda etc.). Additionally, currently being captain of Soccer Pandas in UBC, leading Enterprise Resources Planning（ERP） research project of cooperating with Stanley Hand Tools and working as Corporate Restructuring Assistant in McKinsey in the past, have equipped me with excellent organization, negotiation and cooperation ability to be a competent VP services.

Working Plan:

Strengthen the communication of multicultural groups by organizing more cultural or sports events, such as "International Culture Festival".
Facilitate the soft skill and professional development of graduate students by organizing leadership and career workshops.
Provide better services for student families who have children by establishing systems like "Daycare Rotation Program".
Ensure the benefits of off-campus students by organizing targeted events, such as "Social Network of off-campus Pub, Gym and Pool"

I will guarantee that GSS is to serve students effectively and to be core part of student life in UBC.
