Yvonne Blum-Gabel

I come from an entrepreneurial background, having owned and operated the Stork Nest Inn, located in Smithers, BC, for 8 years. During this time my responsibilities included every aspect of hotel operations ranging from project management, business planning, client services, accounting, human resources, and marketing.

Following the sale of the hotel, I had the good fortune to be able to stay home and raise my children. During this time I also reflected on what career goals I had for the future. Ultimately I decided to pursue a career in Accounting and am currently enrolled in my 3rd year of the Bachelor of Business Administration Degree - Accounting Major program at Camosun College in pursuit of my CGA designation.

My husband, two children and I have called Victoria home since 2006. I love the outdoors, a home cooked meal, physical activity and spending time with my family.
