Books like the Harry Potter series and the twilight saga have broken record sales around the world. Both best sellers and have unintentionally brought out the reader in people who simply hate books. (My cousin Leah). Without these books, some people would still be living under a rock feasting on the unhealthy snack they call television. Scratch that… the internet. Now that we have the internet at our disposal (everywhere we go) almost nothing else matters for some. I have a sister who has been completely destroyed by the internet… once she comes back from school, she drops her bag God knows where and heads to the kitchen. Does she make something to eat NO… she simply circles the same spot laughing at something on her phone screen.
I say my little sister has been *completely destroyed by the internet but I have been consumed by it… I have it worse than she does because the world of Asian dramas and films has grabbed me by the horns and hasn’t let go since 2011… The only way I can watch these amazing dramas is through the internet so I do nothing else.
My decision to write this blog is to review books and TV shows that can get us back to the traditional way of entertaining ourselves…
The internet is a wonderful place… it has given millions of people voices through platforms like YouTube. But sometimes we have to have a balance.
I am hoping that as I write this blog, I can explore the world of entertainment more and learn from what I read and watch on my TV screen.
