My interest in motorcycles grew from one single youtube video. It consisted of a person going far outside the legal limits of driving, and shortly after being followed with sirens. Although not responsible, it was very entertaining or rather captivating. It leads me to slowly let what I previously believed to be way too dangerous, into interest, into want, into a reality. Motorcycles are dangerous yet fun, or as the MSF course puts it "Serious Fun". Because at the end of the day the barrier to entry wasn't money or fright, but danger. It is the people that loved and cared for me that disapproved of it because it was so dangerous. So I subsisted off the baby food of motorcycles, the video content. I consumed many hours of content on various different parts of ownership of a motorcycle. This ranged everywhere from moto vlogs to helmet guides. It was almost as if I was an expert, but yet I still did not own one, just knew what I would get if ever given the chance. I wasn't legally able to own a motorcycle because I was 15, and practically speaking couldn't even get a license without guardian consent until 18. When my parents realized the inevitability of me growing up they caved. Finally, at 18 years old I have been able to accomplish what was once a dream. Now, I own a z400, and I ride around for the thrill of it whenever possible.
