I’ve graduated in early 2009, accomplishing a Master in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto. During my studies I had courses related to most civil engineering related subjects and, therefore, have gained a very broad view on the profession.
I’ve also studied for 6 months in the Netherlands, with Erasmus Program, which allowed me to contact with different ways of working and assessing issues within construction.
I worked as a Civil Engineer for two years, first in the commercial department of a Contractor, elaborating proposals for tenders, which provided me with insight on the market procedures. Afterwards, I worked as a consultant, on both supervision and also with tender procedures, but what appeals to me the most is the management field.,
At the moment, I’m a Trainee at the Corporate Services Department at EASA (European Agency for Safety in Aviation) where I’m having the chance to develop my knowledge in Facility Management, working with both OneTools (for Resources and Space Management) and with ArchiCAD.
I have become very interested in Project Management which led to my recent involvement with Young Crew Portugal - a group of students and young professionals integrated in APOGEP - Portuguese Association for Project Management and IPMA - International Project Management Association. Under this organization I've participated in organizing the event PM4ALL2012, in Porto. I also joined the National Board for Young Crew Portugal, acquiring responsabilities in External Relations and Partnerships. Nowadays I also contribute to the IPMA Young Crew International Newsletter and, more recently, I've acquired the role of GeCCo (Global eCollaboration Competition) Local Organizer on behalf of Germany.
Specialties: I consider myself to be a flexible, self motivated, multi-task person who has good social and communication skills.
