Blogger: Booze Business is a blog dedicated to the spirits, wine and beer industries. Despite its size and growth, the alcohol industry is small. It’s a business of people, relationships and stories. Lots of stories and I love telling them.

Playwright:One of my short plays, Stuck, won a short play festival in 2011 Short Play Festival at Players Theatre in NYC. It was produced, directed and starred members of Playsmiths, a playwright development group. Brooklyn Moonshine War had a staged reading in 2013 at the Midtown International Film Festival. This full length play is about the “invasion” of Brooklyn by tax collectors, US Marshals and US soldiers whose mission was to collect taxes from moonshiners. The story is based on an actual event in 1870. Other short, one act and full length p[lays are in progress.

FilmmakerI have recently turned my attention toward films and screenwriting. Together with associates, we have formed Warwick Street Productions and plan to produce a range of films. Our first production is, Bereavement, a short film with a release date of Fall 2014, starring Mark Linn-Baker. Bereavement has been selected to be shown by the LA International Short Film festival and by the Chesapeake Bay Film Festival.

Core writing competencies: listening, absorbing, character development, dialogue and spinning a good tale.
