The strength that I identify with the most from StrengthsQuest is the inclusion strength. I feel that I always try to include everyone and make sure that no one feels left out or excluded. I never like that feeling, and I try to make sure that others don't have to feel that way. To me, an includer is someone who always incorporates people in what they are doing. They make sure that no one is left out. This strength impacts my academic and social life because I want to make all of my friends feel like they are wanted and have a purpose, whether it be in or outside of school.
Another assignment we did in class was Lessons from a First Year Buckeye. This activity was very beneficial to me because I was able to reflect on how far I have come since the beginning of the school year. The assignment was to write down five things we have learned so far this semester. Most of mine were about different places to eat, getting along with peers, and finding the things that make you happy. These things I have learned will definitely help me in the next semester because although I am still learning new things, there lessons can serve as a guideline to help me along the way.
Another assignment we did was the Time Management activities. We had to write down what we thought our weekly schedule was, and then throughout the next week, see if what we wrote down actually matched what we really did that week. It was a huge eye opener to me seeing how much more time I had to study than I thought I had. It really helped to write everything down and have a visual of what my week looked like. I have never been good at time management, but this activity really helped me block out my time better, and I have been doing much better at using my time wisely since that assignment.
