I am “out of Africa”! Born in Nairobi, Kenya, I came to Canada for the very first time in 1983 on the ill-fated Air Canada flight that ran out of fuel mid air – a.k.a. The Gimli Glider. It was truly a hair-raising experience and the most dramatic way to come to a country for the first time!
Currently living in Calgary, I attended the University of Calgary and have spent most of my career working in the post secondary field. I have worked as an Instructional Assistant and Student Computing Analyst as well as a Co-Ordinator of Student Computing Centres. I am currently pursuing a certificate in adult learning specializing in e-learning. I have a great deal of experience with technology support, program co-ordination supervision, and working with diverse stakeholders. Looking for opportunities as training co-ordinator/program co-ordinator etc.
