I'm a software guy who loves building teams and delivering product that makes the world better (and sometimes a little more fun too).
I started my career as a developer and team lead at The Mathworks where I designed and implemented core UI infrastructure for Simulink which is used by millions of engineers to design and develop mission critical systems. In 2010 I took the startup plunge and joined Pubget as VP of Engineering where my team helped hundreds of thousands of scientists find papers fast. I ran our daily engineering operations, grew the dev team and helped prioritize our product pipeline through acquisition by CCC in 2012. I then moved to Skillz in 2013 to become Head of Development where I helped build the amazing product team that delivered the world's first cash tournament system for mobile. I am now at Amazon leading teams that build the machine learning platform powering Echo speech technology.
When I'm not working, you can frequently find me at the gym atoning for my sweet tooth. Sometimes I'll eat enough cake and ice cream that only a Tough Mudder or Warrior Dash is intense enough to neutralize.
I love meeting new people so feel free to reach out for a coffee.
