Student, Writer, and Artist in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I'm currently a student in the Master in Environmental Studies program at York University. My research interests are in human-nonhuman relationships in ecology, society and culture. I am a chemical engineering graduate from the University of Toronto. Driven by a strong passion for intersectionality, I have been involved in efforts to create spaces to promote visibility and encourage the participation of women and LGBTQIA people in science and technology. I have appeared on the CBC as part of a panel on women in engineering. I am completing a thesis on Lyme disease and its cultural and social implications, with a special focus on what it reveals about humanness, the self and the other, and our relationships to the environment.
