Oncology/Hospice Nurse in Frederick, Maryland

First and foremost, I am a woman, a mother, a lover. I am a nurse, and I spend my work days caring for those struggling with cancer and easing others in to their final rest. Hospice and oncology nursing is something I have always wanted to do, and it is exceptionally rewarding. However, it has reminded me that I have a zest for life and an interest in promoting health outside the hospital as well. I have become a health and fitness coach; a journey that began in June of 2015. I have transformed by own physical, mental, and emotional self to a level I never truly felt I would ever reach. The thing is, we can all achieve goals we previously thought were unattainable. It starts by actually MAKING the goal. Then we work to achieve it. I am here to share my knowledge of life, of health and fitness, of death, of motivation. I am a sponge for knowledge and want to learn and share as much as possible. I am open to feedback, questions, criticism (if done politely :)) This is totally out of my comfort zone, but I hope I can help or inspire at least one person. It will then be worth it.

I have a beautiful, yet often overwhelming, son who is almost 8 years old. He is in second grade and VERY independent and strong-willed; a trait that I hope will serve him well in his future, but it makes it difficult for me sometimes! I have a rescue mut, Gracie, whom I take to a local nursing home as part of Wags for Hope, to bring love and smiles to those in need. She's my little shadow.

I have a bachelor's of science degree in Biology, an associate's degree of science in nursing, and am completing my master's in nursing education (3 weeks left! Done 2/2016!)

I love to write, read, listen to music (wine festivals are a fave), garden, take photographs, crochet, scrapbook, and workout!! My soulmate workout is definitely Zumba! I love to dance. I have completed 3 Beachbody workouts: Body Beast (twice), PiYo, and Cize. I am almost done with Brazil Butt Lift and am excited to begin The Master's Hammer & Chisel in March. It is a personal goal to do all of their programs so I may better recommend them depending on others' desires or limitations.

Oh, there's just so much more. Let's get to know one another, through inspiration, motivation, sharing, community. :)
