Hi, I’m Asmaa Al-Helou from Johannesburg, South Africa. I’m currently in my third year of studying for a degree in education, specializing in English and history for Senior phase and FET. I’m an aspiring student teacher .I have a deep love for reading and am always eager to immerse myself in different worlds through books. My favorite book thus far is Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, whose work has infulenced my understanding of history and culture. As a language enthusiast, I enjoy exploring and learning new languages, which enriches my understanding of diverse cultures and communication. I am currently learning Korean and Turkish because I love connecting with different cultures and societies. Coffee is my daily companion, fueling my passion for learning and teaching.
My passion for education was sparked by the incredible teachers I had growing up, and I strive to be that same source of inspiration for my students.Teaching is more than just a profession; it’s a calling. I believe education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and shape the future. For me, teaching is about inspiring and empowering students to reach their full potential, fostering a love for learning, and making a positive impact on their lives.
