Aanya is recent graduate from LSR. She is a SUSI scholar, being one of the four girls nominated to represent India. She is also the Co-Founder of Covid Fighters India, one of the biggest Covid Relief initiatives in the country which came up during the second wave. She also gave a Ted Talk about her journey as a Covid Volunteer.
She the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Girl Up Rise, a UN foundation collaboration to empower women across the world and a member of the WICCI Anti Sexual Harassment Council Delhi.
She has worked as a journalist with The Quint and was the Campus Coordinator with The Jurni.
She is the founding project head of Aghaaz, a student led social entrepreneurship project to empower women by providing them vocational skills and an economic independence while following the sustainable development goals.
She was also the Volunteer Coordinator for Pratisandhi, a student led NGO to create sexual health and awareness.
She was awarded the title of #30under30 by IIT and IIM Lucknow, for social entrepreneurship. Her work has been recognised by various platforms like Al Jazeera, Mashable, India Today, The Quint and Conteur Magazine
Aanya is passionate about women empowerment, and has been working towards it since a very nascent age.
