Greetings from Detroit! After working for Teach for America in Charlotte, NC, I moved back to Detroit to co-found a company with some friends and to participate in the revival of this great American city.

In life, I’m always trying to find a healthy balance between my left and right brain. On the left, I was a math teacher, I am teaching myself to code, and I run operations and finance for an eCommerce company. On the right, I try to keep up my drumming and guitar skills, I like to carve linoleum stamps, I read a ton of fiction, and I am working on writing a series of short stories.

Whether I’m climbing a 20,000ft peak, competing in an Ironman triathlon, starting a company, or jumping out of a plane, I am constantly challenging myself. After all, the real learning happens when you’re facing the impossible.
