Aaron Anthony Wohl has been a cornerstone of the community emergency medicine landscape in Fort Myers since 2005, with his unwavering dedication and innovative approach significantly influencing both his local community and his professional peers. His commitment to tackling the opioid crisis began in earnest in 2008, when he collaborated with fellow emergency providers to create guidelines aimed at mitigating prescription opioid abuse. He tirelessly advocated for broader access to Naloxone, the opioid overdose antidote, forming crucial alliances with legislators over the years. His efforts culminated in the launch of a naloxone distribution program in 2015 and the establishment of a Buprenorphine induction protocol directly from the emergency department in 2018.

Furthermore, he is a staunch advocate for the rights and voices of employed emergency physicians, ensuring due process is upheld when the interests of patients are at odds with hospital administrative policies. He currently practices emergency medicine across Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, and Port Charlotte, Florida, while also seeking innovative ways to connect ER patients dealing with substance use disorders to outpatient care in Charlotte County. In addition to his clinical pursuits, Wohl has many interests that showcase his zest for life and learning. His hobbies range from boating and motorcycling to competing in sprint triathlons, flying, and building R/C aircraft. A passionate snowboarder and private pilot, he frequently flies his twin-engine plane to various destinations, including the Bahamas and Cuba. With aspirations to obtain an instructor's license, he is eager to share his passion for aviation with others.
