Aaron Blaylock, author of The Land of Look Behind. I was born and raised in Arizona. I grew up in the shadow of the Superstition Mountains in the far east valley. I attended Mesa Verde High School in Citrus Heights, CA, where and lettered in football.

In 1997 I served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Jamaica Kingston Mission, where I learned to speak patois and fell in love with a country and a people.

When I returned home, to Arizona, I successfully courted the girl of his dreams and we were married in March of 2001.

For nearly ten years I worked as a freelance sports reporter covering high school sports for The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com.

Currently I live with my wife in Arizona and we are raising our four beautiful children. When not working, writing, or serving at church I volunteer as a soccer and baseball coach for my kids and enjoy chasing a small white ball around a golf course.
