Aaron Co

Student and Musician in Quezon City, Philippines

Hey! I'm Aaron Co, and I'm a Music Technology student who primarily works on music mixing, although I also play the piano on occasion.

Music has been a passion of mine since my time in high school. As far as I can recall, my parents encouraged me to take up the piano since I was a child because they wanted to have someone in the family with the ability to enchant people with the sound of music. For years, the piano had been my primary instrument to express myself in musical form. It wasn't until the early 2010s did I discover the art of crafting music with modern technology. Gradually, I found myself delving into the wonders of remixing songs through my computer. Of course, the works that I ended up with way back then turned out to be amateurish and often crude, but I didn't let any of that stop me from getting to where I am now.

Initially, upon my high school graduation, I enrolled as a BS Medical Technology student in the University of Santo Tomas solely because of where my natural expertise resided. At first, things were nice, but after a brief examination of my status in life, the magic slowly began fading away. It wasn't until I enrolled once more, this time choosing the BM Music Technology course in the UST Conservatory of Music, did I come upon an epiphany: This right here was my true passion. I had been given the opportunity to jump back into what I truly wanted.

As a student of the UST Conservatory of Music, I was given the right tools and experience to learn all about composing music. There, I gained experience working with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and collaborating with fellow musicians in the conservatory. Most importantly, it enabled me to finally be able to express myself the way I wished to.
