Boston-based hospitality and food service professional Aaron Goodliss began his career in the industry after earning degrees in food preparation and hospitality management from Johnson & Wales University. Commanding a diverse skill set, including expertise in back-of- and front-of-house restaurant operations and proven experience in managing staff, Mr. Goodliss presently works as the manager of one of Boston Beer Works' restaurant/brewery chains. Having held this position since June 2011, Aaron Goodliss has helped implement new revenue streams for Boston Beer Works, such as private party coordination, while also participating in company-wide fundraisers.
A resident of the Boston suburb of Chestnut Hill, Aaron Goodliss oversees the day-to-day operations of one of Boston Beer Works' franchise locations, handling everything from staff scheduling and payroll to inventory and guest-services management. He holds several food industry licenses, including accreditation from the ServSafe/National Restaurant Association food safety program, Training for Intervention ProcedureS (TIPS) alcohol certification, and completion of courses in crowd management and food allergen training. Prior to joining the management team at Boston Beer Works, Aaron Goodliss worked as a manager and floor supervisor at Abercrombie & Fitch's store in Natick, Massachusetts, for 16 months, and before that he held various server positions with Joe's American Bar & Grill in Dedham, Massachusetts. From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Goodliss attended Johnson & Wales University's Rhode Island campus, where he received an Associate degree in Culinary Arts in 2007 and a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management in 2009.
Outside of work, Aaron Goodliss enjoys a wide range of hobbies and sports, including playing football and basketball, watching ESPN programs and collegiate and professional sports games, and developing his cooking skills. An active community member as well, Mr. Goodliss helped organize a Jimmy Fund event/fundraiser in conjunction with Boston Beer Works.
