Student and Musician in Philippines

I have always dreamed of being known in the music industry. When would it be? For now, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that I should keep my passion burning and continue fueling it. My father, Alejandro Manuel, introduced me to the music industry, and I am forever grateful to him and my mother because they supported me unconditionally. I started to love choirs, brass bands, and symphony orchestras. I have loved choir competitions since high school in 2016. I was a pioneer member of the DYCI DAGALAK from Bocaue, Bulacan. A choir that has been competing since 2016 and became back-to-back champions in the Voices In Harmony, a prestigious high school choir competition in 2018. And last 2018, we became the 1st prize winner of the NAMCYA in the Mixed Choir category. Lastly, this October 2023, our choir won the Pop/Acapella category and represented the Philippines in the Busan International Choir and Competition. All of this happened because I believed that I could. If I would not believe in myself, I should give up and quit.

Aside from singing in a choir, I am also a Tuba player. Since I became a choir member and was classified as a bass singer, I enjoyed being the group's foundation. I enjoy accompanying. In short, I love bass that much.

I wonder if my father didn't teach me music and did not support me. I may not be here today writing these words. Perhaps I'm in a different field and not tackling music. That's why I will keep believing in myself and pursue my dream of becoming a known musician in the music industry. Of course, after everything, I would love to teach children who are willing to learn and believe in themselves.

From a digital entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and author, Dhar Mann. He said, "Never think that you're not worthy of achieving something because if you don't believe in yourself, no one will believe in you either."
