Aaron Svoboda

Aaron is currently the Secondary Instructional Coach for Kearney Public Schools, in Kearney, Nebraska. Aaron's primary responsibility to provide middle school and high school teachers professional development in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and technology integration. Prior to this position, he was a band director for 15 years. Aaron earned his bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1996. In 2002, he received his master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Aaron is a Google Certified Teacher (GTAWA '11) and a Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer. He has presented at state and national conventions including Nebraska Educational Technology Association (NETA) and ISTE. Aaron is an active musician. He is timpanist for the Kearney Symphony Orchestra, drummer for St. Luke's Episcopal and First Lutheran churches in Kearney, Nebraska, and teaches private percussion lessons at Yanda's music store in Kearney. Aaron is also vocalist and percussionist for the Irish band "Miles From Dublin" where he specializes in the traditional Irish hand drum called the bodhran. Aaron has been married to his wonderful wife, Brittany, since 1996 and they are die-hard New Orleans Saints and Husker Football fans.
