We are seeing radical digital transformation across the ‘design and make’ industries. I work as a change agent in this space, encouraging clients to take their next step forward.

I started out practicing in architecture and engineering, managing projects on a day-to-day basis and working in CAD software as an end user. It wasn't long before my career journey took an unexpected turn. A casual conversation on BIM turned into a presentation at a corporate retreat, and I soon found myself taking a leading role in implementing new technology and workflows. After a couple of years, I repeated the process at another design firm, harnessing lessons learned to efficiently transition our teams from CAD to BIM.

Once I had discovered that I enjoyed leading digital transformation more than drawing details, I turned the best part of my job into a full-time position in technology consulting. My role comprised presales, training, and support functions.

Here, I found that my favorite part of the job was meeting with clients to discuss their own technology journeys and guide them in taking next steps. I realized I had the power to influence others and the responsibility to ensure their success. Over a 5-year period, I built deep relationships with hundreds of clients across Texas.

Having uncovered my unique value in this space, I once again turned the best part of my job into a full-time position. This time, I exclusively focused on technical sales. Over the next 7 years, I worked with a wide range of customers across North America, from 1-person design firms to global manufacturing giants and government institutions. I helped drive business exceeding $10M in revenue per year. And I had a blast sharing in our clients' digital transformation journeys.

For the past few years, I've led a global technical marketing team. While this meant taking a step back from the 1-to-1 customer conversations that I love so much, it also gave me the opportunity (through my team) to create compelling assets and deliver 1-to-many presentations to help uplevel our sales conversations in the aggregate.

It's been an epic journey thus far. I am now a seasoned industry professional, discovery specialist, storyteller, problem solver, team leader, and technology evangelist—and I remain continually curious to see the next chapter unfold.
