Abadir Nasr

My name is Abadir Nasr. I am a Canadian pharmacist and small business owner based in Mississauga, Ontario, I have the privilege of operating several businesses across the province, including Midland IDA Pharmacy in Midland and Whitfield Guardian Pharmacy in Elmvale, along with my wholesaling company, Arvazy, located in Oakville.

Being a pharmacist is more than just a job for me; it is my calling. I find great fulfillment in dispensing medication and providing health advice to my customers, knowing that I play a vital role in their well-being. It is incredibly rewarding to know that my work positively impacts the lives of those in my community.

I am deeply committed to giving back, which is why I support several local food banks and have taken the initiative to sponsor a local youth hockey team. One of the highlights of our community involvement came when Whitfields Guardian Pharmacy made a $50,000 donation to Georgian Bay Hospital, which reflects our dedication to healthcare and support during times of need. In recognition of our contribution, the hospital has graciously placed a plaque in its main lobby—a proud moment for my team and me!

Recently, I had the honor of overseeing the 70th-anniversary celebration of Whitfields Guardian Pharmacy. It was a moment of pride not only for myself but for the entire Elmvale community, emphasizing our shared commitment to exceptional pharmaceutical services. It is vital for me to uphold the values and legacy of this cherished local business, and to ensure that we continue to serve the community with care and compassion.

Outside of my professional life, I am an avid fan of soccer and basketball, and I always seek opportunities to stay active. Whether it is through my work at the pharmacy or my community initiatives, I aim to create a lasting positive impact, making a difference whenever possible.
