Al Barazi is a graphic artist with experience in painting, printmaking, illustration, graphic design and character concepts. He was born in Kuwait, studied in Syria, lived in the United Arab Emirates and is currently based in Toronto, Canada.
In 2011, he graduated from Damascus University with a BFA in Printmaking. After moving to Canada in 2013, Al furthered his artistic techniques and studied Visual & Creative Arts at Sheridan College.
Al has worked as a freelance graphic designer and has been part of numerous group shows in Damascus, Oakville, Stratford and Toronto.
One of his career highlights was presenting his work, Melancholia, at Pecha Kucha Damascus. His presentation included presenting his own paintings and prints explaining the stages of melancholy.
Al uses traditional media as well as digital. He came up with his own style and techniques that are inspired by many historic and modern artists.
