Life is a journey. It is like climbing one mountain after another. One day you are standing at the bottom of a mountain looking up, thinking there is no way you will ever reach the top, but after hard work, you see the reward. You see the view from the top of the mountain that is like no other. But just when you think the view will last forever, you fall and are at the bottom of the mountain, climbing again.

Life is certainly not easy, and I have found that life is a continuous journey of climbing mountains, but that also brings adventure and excitement. I have always loved adventure and getting to go hiking. Last May, I hiked a mountain in Colorado. It was one of the hardest hikes I have ever done, but I had the greatest joy I had ever experienced when I reached the top. There were times when I wanted to quit and when our leader thought we could not go any farther because of the snow, but we took courage and kept pushing on. At times, when I could not even breathe, I wanted to just turn around, but every time I turned around, I saw the view that just kept getting more incredible. This is what was getting me to the top. Of course, my friends were there to encourage and push me, but what I wanted most was to get to the top of that mountain and take in the breathtaking view. Throughout life, I have been pushed by friends and family to keep going, but in the end, the ultimate reason for continuing to push through the hard times in life, is to see what you have accomplished.
