I am a natural born entrepreneur!
Currently I am co-founder of Stitch Method, a fashion design and brand development accelerator located in Chicago. I love the apparel industry! From the smallest detail in a tech pack to being inspired by the fabrics, trends and prints I see every day.
I started as an entrepreneur at a young age. My first business was collecting and then painting rocks. I would put them in my red wagon and go door to door selling my artistically painted rocks!
In high school I studied Costume Design at Pinellas County Center for the Arts in St Petersburg, FL. I used to alter Levis at my part time job at the local surf shop to make extra income.
I attended college at Florida Stat University and studied Communication. So naturally I co-founded my own collegiate advertising agency! We did work for the local sweet shop and produced fundraising events for local charities.
After graduating FSU and working in experiential marketing agencies in Chicago, San Francisco and LA I decided it was time to go back to school for one of my true passions, fashion and design. I attended FIDM in Los Angeles and this couldn't have been a better decision.
I went on to work in a multi line show room, for several denim lines and then finally landing on the design team for My Michelle Girls Dresses. These dresses were in every store in America, huge, mass market business! Glitter, butterflies, flowers and more glitter!
While working for My Michelle I launched my own organic cookie company, Stacks Cookies. Six cookies were stacked and packaged in Mason jars! They were a huge hit, I got picked up by a luxury catalog and baked around 10,000 cookies during the 2012 Holiday Season.
My husband is from Chicago originally, and we decided to make the move back here in January 2013. Perfect timing for the Jan weather in Chicago :)
Since then I have been doing less baking, and focusing on working with independent designers and entrepreneurs. I love hearing all of the great ideas that apparel and accessory entrepreneurs have! I love being able to use my experience in marketing and fashion to help craft unique brands for our clients!
