The Columbus Dispatch called Abbie Stands a “best bet” and over the past year the concerts Abbie has given have been just that. Whether she is singing in a small club, a concert hall, or on a festival stage Abbie is bringing her audiences to their feet.
Abbie loves to tell stories through songs and with her mix of original songs, standards, and pop, accompanied by her lush arrangements, listeners and audiences become mesmerized. Her vocals and original material have been called “addicting” by fans and fellow musicians.
Abbie began to study singing at a young age and went on to major in music at Capital University Conservatory of Music. Abbie’s classical training has enabled her to become a vocalist of great versatility; from singing with big bands to Schubert Lieder and Arias with orchestras to performing her own music she wraps her voice around each song and takes the listener on a musical journey.
Abbie is a classically trained singer with a vocal range spanning nearly four octaves. She has a vocal flexibility and fluidity that enables her to sing across musical genres. Audiences find themselves captivated by her ability to connect the lyrics to the emotion.
Abbie Stands’ rare musical versatility has been garnering attention from a variety of performance ensembles. Abbie has performed as a featured soloist with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and with members of the Toledo Symphony. She has also been a re-appearing guest soloist with the famed Rick Brunetto Big Band and can currently be seen performing throughout the Ohio region and Northeast with her small ensemble.
