With 18 years in NHS services I have significant experience in understanding what it takes to deliver high quality care and keep it there.
As a qualified RMN and 9 years as a front line clinician in Acute Adult Mental Health, Community Older Peoples, Community Substance Misuse and Child and Adolescent Mental Health I am equipped to assess and appreciate the challenges facing caring professionals and the high standards of practice that’s expected of them.
As a senior manager for six years in a large complex Partnership Foundation Mental Health Trust I have led county wide services through some of the most challenging environments the NHS has faced. This has included whole systems development and transformation, delivering savings and efficiencies, meeting regulatory standards, sustaining safe and effective services, leading clinical and corporate governance, multiple local and national project development including CYP IAPT, transition of local commissioning to CCGs and regional specialist Commissioning to NHS England all whilst ensuring that operational services are running on a day to day basis and managing the contractual interface.
