Hey, everyone :) I am a junior at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. I am majoring in the Combined Elementary/Special Education program there. My dream is to one day become an elementary school teacher at any school that is willing to hire me. I am a 2011 Golden Apple Scholar that is a scholarship/internship that is helping me reach that goal.
I am from a family of six, including my dad, my mom, my twin brother Nick, and my two younger sisters, Maddy and Sophie; oh, and a golden retriever named Lucy :) I have grown up and lived in Sugar Grove, IL all my life. I graduated from Kaneland High School in Maple Park, IL. There, I started moving towards my career in teaching by taking Early Childhood classes at Fox Valley Career Center. I had the opportunity to work with preschoolers and actually make lesson plans for them. Because of Early Childhood, I also competed in the SkillsUSA competition in Springfield, IL. I placed fourth out of about 25 other competitors both my junior and senior year.
Since then, I have been having a blast at college, not really wanting to go home! I am a referee for intramural sports at Lewis, and I absolutely love it. As a dedicated Flyer and student, I intend to follow my passion for teaching and graduate in 2015. My main hobbies are scrapbooking and going to concerts. It's all about being creative and having a good time :)
