Abdelhamid Bousaadi was born in Ouarzazate, otherwise known as the hollywood of Morocco, in 1988. He came to Marrakech 12 years ago to complete his studies, but the charm of city wouldn't let him go. He got his master's degree in English Linguistics in November 2013 and has worked in many fields including entertainment and tourism industry, ever since.

In 2010, he started running Riad Laksiba in the Kasbah area of the old medina. and worked as artist assistant and translator for the 3rd and 4th editions of the Marrakech Biennale, as Finance manager of the 5th edition in 2014, and as Education Program Coordinator for the Marrakech Biennale 6 in 2016.

He also performed as cultural communication manager of BE Marrakech and as member at the board of founders of the cultural art initiative: the KE'CH Collective. He is member of the Global Shapers Cummunity of the World Economic Forum, and was involved with many organizations that embrace diversity and promote the development of education for less advantaged communities around the world, like: Junior Chamber International (JCI) and AIESEC.

In 2015, he co founded the Marrakech Green Wheels, a local response to the ecological urgencies in Morocco.

Currently, Abdelhamid works as Pro Consul at the British Honorary Consulate in Marrakech. In his free time, Abdelhamid helps shaping education and human development in Morocco. He is the Host, Coordinator of TEDMarrakesh. Abdelhamid enjoys movies, photography, hiking... and a good cup of hot chocolate.
