Abdifatah Farah

Abdifatah Farah Kalinle (born June 17, 2000, in Awbare, Fafan Zone, Somali Regional State of Ethiopia) is a Somali journalist, reporter, and digital media leader based in Ethiopia.

He completed his primary and secondary education in Awbare, including his studies at Sheikh Hassan Nuriye School. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in communication, public affairs, and community development.

He later studied Communication and Journalism at Jigjiga University, where he built a solid foundation in media production, reporting, and public communication.

Media Career

For two years, Abdifatah produced and presented the television program “Doorka Muwaadinka” at the Somali Regional State Media Agency (SRTV). The program focused on civic responsibility, public awareness, and highlighting community development issues.

He currently works as a field reporter based in the Erer Zone, particularly Fik District, where he covers regional news, social affairs, and community-based stories.

In addition to his broadcasting work, he serves as the Director of Digital Media at Warfaafiye News, a platform that provides daily coverage of international, national, and local news. In this role, he oversees digital content production and news dissemination.

Teaching Experience

Abdifatah also worked for two years as a teacher of Somali and English languages, contributing to youth education and language development.
